The Idea

valslist is a boutique music site created by Val Haller. Val, a music lover, has a knack for choosing songs that make a great playlist that people love. She wanted a website to share her playlists and use her skills to promote great artists.

The Solution

Val approached Ben Harben, who developed a sleek, user-friendly web design. Ben in turn worked with ByteHarvest to build a custom Content Management System to power Val's creations. The system allows Val to create her playlists and share them on her website through iTunes. The site was launched in 2007 and through Val's hard work it has become a very popular destination.

Over time the site has evolved and ByteHarvest continues to work with Val, bringing her vision into reality. She began promoting weekly featured artists along with MP3 downloads and promoting concert events in the Chicago area. The CMS we built is flexible and robust, allowing the site to grow along with Val's drive to make valslist the site for music lovers.
